I understand that leaving your dog in the car is frowned upon, but sometimes I need to. I understand that I will probably get flack for this post, but I will accept that.. as long as you leave with one piece of information.
BUSTING OUT MY WINDOW TO GET MY DOG OUT WHEN THE MOON ROOF IS OPEN, IS A STUPID IDEA.
No, this did not happen to me. I was at Buc-ee’s. I literally parked, went inside, got beef jerky, checked out with no line, and walked back out. I was walking out when a lady was writing a note to tell me how “horrible of a person [I am],” and how I “obviously don’t love [my] dog enough if [I] left him in the car.” I just kept saying “okay,” which may have made her mad, but that was all I could say to keep from exploding on her. I also want to mention here that Remus (my dog) was strapped into his dog car seat at this time. Then she says that she was about to bust out my window to get him out of the car and that I was ‘lucky’ she decided not to do that. I then
nicely pointed out that the moon roof was wide open, but she maintained that she would have still broken my window to get to him.
Ma’am, if you had indeed broken my window… YOU would have been the unlucky one.
IF YOU BREAK MY WINDOW WHEN A WINDOW IS OPEN, YOU WILL BE THE ONE IN TROUBLE.
YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BREAK INTO SOMEONE’S CAR IF THEY LEAVE THEIR DOG IN THERE UNATTENDED.
That is all I really want you to understand.
